Dear all,
As announced earlier, the Access to Knowledge team (previously the India Program team) started working with a few alterations in September. In a move to make things more transparent and ensure better communication across communities as well as draw more participation to all our events, we've created a public calendar.
Right now, there is no way in which I can make the calendar edit-able by all but if there are events you want to list, I'd be glad to list them.
Link to the calendar: http://bitly.com/a2kcalendar
Please do reply with your suggestions on how we can make this calendar more efficient.
Thank you, Best Noopur
Thanks Noopur, this is great!
It might be helpful to include in the events themselves WHO from the A2K team will be present (so that people know who to reach out to with questions) and also a link to the organizing page, if applicable.

Hi,
This is good. A raw suggestion: I've recently come across a crowd-sourcing solution called crowdmap. Though it's primarily for crowd-sourcing geographical info, when you submit a location you can choose a date and time in the future there.
So, a calendar on this would have a time-slider plus show the locations of events on a map. That would also help people in seeing by location. Sample : http://treasuresofahmedabad.crowdmap.com
(ignore the security warning.. they're having a temporary issue with the web certificates

Dear Nikhil,
That's a great suggestion! In fact while making this calendar, I was asking around if there are better options (almost Wiki format calendars) so that we have more functionality. I will try out this crowdmap :)
