Hi all,
Wikimania 2012 scholarships have been announced. Indian wikimedians who have been awarded full/partial scholarships - please enter your details in the page: http://wiki.wikimedia.in/Wikimania2012 This will be helpful for mutual help with visa application, travel etc (last year it proved very helpful)

Hi all, Special congratulations to all those who received Wikimania Scholarships this year.
As Sodabottle commented, last year, it was extremely useful by knowing each other, who all are traveling and helping each other with visa applications and other formalities. http://wiki.wikimedia.in/index.php?title=Wikimania2011&action=historysub.... A lot of offline discussions and muutal helps ensured that most people get their visas in time and was able to attend the Wikimania.
This year, there is a page created for this purpose * http://wiki.wikimedia.in/Wikimania2012 * Requesting all those who received the Scholarships or attending Wikimania from India, to add their details here.
If you have received the scholarship, don't forget to confirm your acceptance, book the tickets with the foundation travel agent and also work on the US visa asap. With USA this year, it is going to difficult with the visas, so please ensure that you do the homework and work on the visa formalities with due diligence.
You have received scholarships from among hundreds of applications world wide, so request to kindly take it very seriously and ensure that you utilize this precious opportunity. If wasted, please remember that another deserving person could have instead attended the Wikimania.
For those whose applications were "rejected" this year, don't worry... it has nothing to do with your accomplishments or your good work for the Wikimania Movement. I am also one among those rejected this year. :) I got my first Wikimania scholarship in 2010 after applying for several years .... With so many applications from world over and hundreds of Wikimedians from different languages and countries, it is difficult to accommodate lots of people with the limited number of scholarships.
And don't forget to apply next year ! And Keep up the great work !
Best wishes again to all those who received Wikimania Scholarships this year.

That one is a VFS-US office. Consular operations for the US mission are located at one central location in the Bandra-Kurla Complex.
And all visa applications have to be made through VFS, not directly to consular office. On 13 May 2012 09:05, "Anirudh Bhati" anirudhsbh@gmail.com wrote:
