While the objective behind the suggestion is prudential and well appreciated, the communication of grants from individual community and following chain of responses and replies will flood the email box.  Being from a particular language or working on particular project, A volunteer might not be interest in detailed of the project. So I believe, inclusion of grant proposal may not be included in India list. It may be kept at community level mailing list only. 

However, In order to keep the Indic communities groups abreast, a fortnightly or  a monthly email can be sent on Indic List, along with link. Interested person can follow the link to get more information. Sushant Savla

Whether it is a state-level, project-level, language-level etc, or whether it is a rapid grant, project grant etc it would be good to see the plan details on this mailing list in advance. It will ensure greater visibility, and it will also ensure the community's understanding/knowing of each other's projects.
