Hey All:
Expanding on what Achal had mentioned:
- The 2011 WikiConference: are there other communities with proposals
or is the Mumbai/Pune proposal the only feasible one on the table?
The EC would like to know whether we can expect any bids or expressions of interest from other communities/cities in India for this event this year?
It would be great if you could let us know at the earliest, please, and definitely by 14th of June?
Thank you.
Best,
Gautam
Thank you.

This may just be a bit off-topic but I wanted to share this bit. The Fedora Project, when considering venues for the FUDCon, uses http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/FUDCon_bid_process A similar process/flow could probably be handy to have, unless there already exists something similar within WMF.

Thank you, Naveen and Sankarshan. There is this from the Foundation on Wikimania bid selection:
http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimania_2012/Official_requirements_for_bidd...
We could use some help in drafting something that is appropriate to our requirements and something that better reflects our situations.
Could we use the current page http://wiki.wikimedia.in/India_Wiki_Conference_Framework to begin work on it, please?
Thank you.
