Dear Ravi,
You can check the report "A case study on Tamil
Wikipedia" presented in
Wikimani 2009 at
http://ta.wikipedia.org/s/bs8
Thanks for sharing this. This is simple and superb!! A good model.
While a lot of things said there still holds good, a lot has happened over
the last four years and we will try to cover that in a
blog post soon.
Would be really nice. Especially, would like to see if and how Tamil
Wikipedia hit the hockey-stick growth phase during 2009 and some
retrospection on the "Future Plans" section.
For those who can understand Tamil, you can find our
annual reports
published since 2005 at
http://ta.wikipedia.org/s/2p9l
Unfortunately I can't read Tamil. In completely awe with the way Tamil
community has so systematically maintained Annual Reports, for so long! A
good model for other Indian language Wikipedias too. We will incorporate
this into the A2K Work Plans.
Would you suggest that it is worthwhile for A2K to get these Annual Reports
translated into English, so that it can be shared with global community?
Warmly,
Vishnu
