Hello Vishnu,
if you feel CIS-A2K can help with any of the above, or even with anything more than that, you are always welcome. At the end of the day, the contest does not belongs to Wikimedia India or A2K, it belongs to the Wikimedia Community. You are all welcome to help us with anything you feel you can pitch in better :)
Through out the contest, we will be active in the WLM-IN mailing list. You're also welcome to subscribe there: https://lists.wmnederland.nl/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/wlm-in

CIS-A2K could chip in with these.
- Designing flyers (Please send the designs; let know the nos and other
specifics. PM please)
- Spreading the word through media and blogs (Could you PM the Press
Release note or any other communication material. Do we have a twitter hashtag?)
- Find some sponsors and partners (What is the exact requirement?)
At the end of the day, the contest does not belongs to Wikimedia India or A2K, it belongs to the Wikimedia Community.
Not sure why you said this, but could not agree any more :)
Cheers, Vishnu

Hi. We are getting a list of monuments from the ASI and INTACH for WLM.
Sent from the touchscreen equivalent of a Nokia 1100, pardon the sender. -- Srikanth Ramakrishnan, Treasurer. On Aug 23, 2013 3:22 PM, "Shrinivasan T" tshrinivasan@gmail.com wrote:

Thanks for the lists.
I explored http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_State_Protected_Monuments_in_Tamil_Nadu http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Monuments_of_National_Importance_in_Che... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Monuments_of_National_Importance_in_Thr...
Though I am from Kanchipuram, I can not point out the places, that are mentioned in these pages. The same is for chennai too.
Is there any detailed address of each monument?
What does the numbers like S-TN-8, S-TN-9 ?
Example: S-TN-9 "sivan koil" (shiva temple) at kanchipuram. There are more than 108 shiva temples at kanchipuram city itself.
What temple does S-TN-9 means?
Collect the details of full address of each monument so, the photographers can reach the place easily.
Thanks.

What we have now is the list defined as monuments by ASI. S-TN-9 are the unique identifiers which you will have to fill-in when you upload photos for the contest. They are unique identifiers, by which we can identify the name of the monuments if someone has not properly named the file. Generally, for WLM we have a different Wikimedia Commons Upload Wizard, wherein we have an option to fill-in the unique identifier.
What temple does S-TN-9 means?
Collect the details of full address of each monument so, the photographers can reach the place easily.
This is a big task, which we need to complete within a week.
