Hoi, One really nice development is the continued improvements of the UploadWizard. This software is available and functional at Wikimedia Commons and makes it much easier to upload pictures to Commons.
http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:UploadWizard
One of the recent developments is that they are registering to what extend the wizard is used in different languages. However for these statistics to be useful, this extension needs to be localised in your language. As always the localisation can be done at translatewiki.net ... Thanks, GerardM

I wish regular commons upload tool allowed multiple file uploads also. As of now I use, "Commonist" tool for such bulk uploads. http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Tools/Commonist Pretty good tool, though.

Hoi, The UploadWizard allows you to process up to ten files at a time ... this number may go higher in the future ... Thanks, GerardM

A bit strange. I don't use upload wizard much, but it's okay with me to upload multiple files at a time.
Hoi, Are you sure you use the Wizard ??? http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:UploadWizard Thanks, GerardM

This is really a useful tool. Except adding the category while uploading. There should be a auto complete with possible completions for category.

Ramesh, I have used the new Upload Wizard and as far as I remember, it supports Autocomplete. Maybe it is Browser dependent. --Regards,
