Below is the mail from *Martin Walker* (who is part of the Editorial_Team for Wikipedia offlinehttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Version_1.0_Editorial_Team) regarding the new release of English wikipedia offline version (English Wikipedia Version 0.8 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Version_0.8).
This release contain 47,300 articles selected from all subject areas. The selection was based on importance and quality. The correct version of each article (to avoid the vandalized revisions) is selected using WikiTrust.
Free downloads of Version 0.8 are available at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Version_0.8/downloads
Available versions are: raw ZIM files, or versions bundled with Kiwix or Okawix readers. iPhone/iPad and Android versions of the Okawix release are not yet ready. But it will be available soon.

I just wanted to let people know that the English Wikipedia Version 0.8 is now available for download.
