Hello,
Hope this email finds you well. The preparation of Wikimania 2019 is going
on, and we hope to see enthusiastic participation from India this year as
well.
You know that in addition to the main Wikimania scholarship, there has been
a practice to offer scholarships to Wikimedians from India. The practice
was started by Wikimedia India, and currently, CIS-A2K is working on this.
CIS-A2K has consulted Wikimedia India Chapter and is happy to announce that
This year 2 Wikimedians from Indian will be given support to attend
Wikimania.
Following are the criteria:
1.
The participants are selected based on the points they received from
Wikimania selection committee set up by WMF. They shared the list with us.
2.
Applicants who received scholarship earlier and attended past Wikimanias
are not selected in favour of applicants who never got a chance to attend.
3.
We have ensured 1 female participation in this list.
Based on these criteria User:User:Indrajitdas and
User:User:Dhanalakshmi_.K._T for Wikimania 2019 are selected.
We have already contacted them and they have accepted the invitation. The
required documents have been sent to the Wikimedians, and hope they will
get their visa very soon.
We are unable to support a partial scholarship for budgetary constraints.
Thanks and Regards,

Note: If I don't reply to your email in 2 days, please feel free to remind
me over email or phone call.
Dear Wikimedian friends,
I would like to share my decision to step down from Community advocate
position in Access to Knowledge team of The Centre for Internet and
Society. I would like to take this as an opportunity to thank Indian
Wikimedians for your collaboration and support.
I am immensely blessed to work hand in hand with many of you in my A2K
capacity. What I learnt and moments I shared in our interactions stays with
me forever. My heartfelt apologies for any inconvenience or mistakes
happened from my part in this journey.
Although this looks like a farewell mail, actually it is not! Because the
mission that tied us together continues inspiring us to collaborate
forever. Like you all, I am a Wikimedian for life. I believe you all will
continue working with me in my volunteer capacity, anyway. In that sense,
this is just changing a hat. Please reach me out over this mail and my
Wikimedia
user talk pages <https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Pavan_santhosh.s>
.
Thanks & Regards,
Pavan Santhosh.
Dear All,

Hereby the WLB team is requesting all wikimedians to visit the project and
contribute as per their choice species and create or develop or translate
articles in their respective native languages and thus resulting in a
multilingual approach to the project. Your honest feedback and suggestion
is also welcome.
If anybody wants to start a similar project in his or her native language,
the WLB team is willing to support in every possible aspect.
