As part of the community review team to distribute laptops and internet
stipends under Project Tiger, we would like to bring to your attention the

Sunday 11:59 PM IST. Please spread the word in your communities. Encourage
and help users who need this support to apply.
*There are many applications still in draft form. Please see if you know
some of those applicants. Help them to complete their applications.

A couple of weeks ago we informed you about Supporting Indian Language
Wikipedias Program Review Committee and requested experienced Indic
Wikimedians to be a part of it. Many thanks to the Indic Wikimedians who
showed interest to serve the team.
In the interest of a quick process and a diverse team with experience in
grants handling, a few Wikimedians have been chosen as members of the

campaign is being organized from from 21 February 2018 to 3 March 2018,
marking International Mother Language Day and Open Data Day respectively.
The campaign will be considered as active from "00:01 hrs on 21 February
2018" to "23:59 hrs on 3 March 2018", contributions on the content related
to India will only be considered.

I knew him as a very wise person with an open mind.
That he chose to write his autobiography as a Wikipedian
how much he valued the movement.

This declaration was drafted by a group comprising of researchers and
professionals working for opening up access to research outputs for public
good in India. The declaration is aimed at scientific communities,
scholarly societies, publishers, funders, universities and research
institutions to promote openness in science and research communications.
The contributors and signatories of the declaration, members of the Open
Access India, Open Access communities of practice in India, and the
attendees of the OpenCon 2018 New Delhi held on 3rd February 2018 at
Acharya Narendra Dev College, Kalkaji, New Delhi (University of Delhi) have
agreed to issue this declaration.
After opening the draft to public review until 13 February, and was adopted
on 14 February.
