*I think* it is too early to think towards Malayalam Captcha in wikipedia.
We may better keep it simpler for the new incoming users (particularly wikipedia readers) who may not have a full swing Malayalam typing system in place. Let us not confuse them.
*In my humble opinion,* the english captcha may be still simpler for a beginner user than Malayalam especially because we still have debates about different unicode versions etc.
Realistically, most of our potential Malayalam users are in a position to at least identify the English alphabet. So English captcha is not a major handicap for them. Further, how often we face a captcha screen in wiki*?
*I think*, Our priority should be to attract more and more users (both readers and writers). When we have thousands of them, we can think of additional features like these.
I*n any case, Malayalam being mentioned distinctively in a universal/global discussion is quite motivating! All the more so, we are obliged to work even harder for our dear ml.wiki*.org*

Why can't we file a bug to enable Malayalam Captcha on MediaWiki?

Yes, i know. My point was why Malayalam in that comment :)
Why not Hindi ,Tamil or some other "globally known" Indian languages ...( which are usually associated with India)
I assume just because Teofilo and Malayalam are active in commons :)
