Wikipedia at Swatantra 2014 - Support to Community participation

Dear Wikimedians, As some of you may know that Swatantra 2014 (5th International Free Software Conference, Kerala) is being held in Trivandrum during December 18-20, 2014. More details at this link http://icfoss.in/fs2014.html Organized by ICFOSS (GoK) this event is set to attract a hundreds of Free Software enthusiasts. CIS (A2K) is one of the supporters of this conference. There is a dedicated track for Wikipedia/Wikimedia during the conference. We are also planning to set up a Wikipedia stall at the event and appreciate ML Wikimedians taking lead on this. We are considering to give travel and stay scholarships for select Malayalam Wikimedians who are interested to participate in this event and benefit from it. Could I request one of you to create a page on ML Wikipedia for this where the ML Wikimedians can come and register their names, so that we ensure complete transparency in awarding this scholarships. It would be even better if 2-3 ML Wikimedians can take lead in working with a CIS-A2K employee to coordinate this on Wiki based on which CIS-A2K will extend support to the selected Wikimedians. CIS-A2K will support this as part of its Community Strengthening Initiatives [1] Please let me know your suggestions on how we could do this in a better manner. It's an offshot of Wiki Loves Monuments and it's our first attempt to do something really multilingual, beyond Spanish languages. We have been happily surprised by the great number of articles in Indian languages: Panjabi, Tamil, Urdu, Marathi and Hindi, as for now. (Malayalam is still missing). We have some ideas about the Month of Women's History, this time based on Spanish languages, as other groups are also interested in their own languages. No final project is still on the table.
