Hello Wikimedians, we are just trying to decide on some designs for T shirts to order for the next year and I would like to get some feedback from the community about what kind of designs they would like to see. At the moment we are just doing Wikimedia UK ones, and I've mocked up a couple of options, with the logo either in the centre or as a badge. Please tell me which you prefer, if you'd like to see it in different colours, with a different logo layout (e.g. with Wikimedia UK to the side of the logo rather than underneath) or if you have ideas for different designs. I've had many Wikimedia t-shirts in my time and my overwhelming request is: please, no more grey, black, or white. There's no need to keep the t-shirts "tame" or office-worthy, because everyone wears them for fun anyway, or to stand out in a crowded edit-a-thon. Royal purple, electric blue, moss green, dandelion yellow, tangerine – anything, really – except for more grey, black, and white! P.S. I also prefer the "badge" style. Thanks for your feedback guys. I think we can make a few different possibilities to choose from. We can do a boring badge one, one with 'I edit Wikipedia', and something else which I'm happy to take suggestions on. I agree with Geni that we could do something a bit more light hearted. Wikimedia Nederland does one with a the Wikimedia logo as a stroopwafel, a Dutch caramel biscuit. So I'm happy to hear any other idea for something more amusing. btw - messages in this thread are getting held in the admin queue because the T-shirt images are 370KB. (Usual limit is 40KB.) So if you send an image, it's likely to be stuck until I get to it the next morning. (Admin alerts go out at 8am, I get to them some time or other.) - d.

Ok, well this design does seem to be popular, so I will enquire how much personalised ones might cost. The caveat with all these is that if we are going to set up a shop, we need a license agreement with the Foundation, which we do not currently have. No we don't - although I expect that wouldn't matter on the scale we'd be talking about - but we can't actually sell stuff with the Wikimedia logos as we don't have a license with the Foundation that enables us to do that. So any t-shirts etc that we produce need to be relatively economical to produce as they will be given away, rather than sold...
