clashing with Jimmy's birthday doesn't seem to have adversely affected any
of the previous winning bids
Frankfurt: 4 Aug - 8 Aug
Boston: 4 Aug - 6 Aug
Taipei: 3 Aug - 5 Aug
my guess is he enjoys a piss-up with his wiki-minions ;)

Sorry, that's Jimmy Wales. I'd assume he'll attend :P.

Personally I have no preference but I know one of
the jury's birthday
falls during that time frame, and it is Jimmy's birthday on the 7th,
so with jetlag and the like they may not be too thrilled by that :) -
not enough to affect their decisions on the jury, but, you know, it
doesn't help us :).
Or is this a non-issue?

I have added the dates I proposed earlier to the bid page
<http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimania_2008/Bids/London>. That's
2-6 August - broken down into 2-3 for hacking days (not all rooms
required), and 4-6 for the main conference. Please change if you
prefer other dates.
