Good to see this request. How long does it take to get an official reply? Could the scope of the request be widened? The Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Scotland run Canmorehttp://canmore.rcahms.gov.uk/which has descriptions of sites which would be useful for Wikipedia ( eg http://canmore.rcahms.gov.uk/en/site/56735/details/dirleton+castle/).

The full list is the "database of all nationally designated historic places including: Listed Buildings, Scheduled Monuments, Protected Wreck Sites, Registered Parks and Gardens, Registered Battlefields, World Heritage Sites, applications for Certificates of Immunity (COIs) and current Building Preservation Notices (BPNs)."
