That it's a non-commercial licence is really disappointing, but that's
still a little better than nothing…

The British Museum has revamped its online collections database, making
over 1.9 million photos of its collection available for free online under a
Creative Commons license.
Under the new agreement the majority of the 1.9 million images are being
made available for anyone to use for free under a Creative Commons 4.0
license <https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0/>. Users no
longer need to register to use these photographs, and can now download them
directly from the British Museum.
Under the terms of the Creative Commons license, you are free to share and
adapt the images for non-commercial use, but must include a credit to the
British Museum.

I have just finished an article about Charles Rogers, an 18th-century art collector:

If anyone has or can get a photograph relevant to his collection, in the Plymouth City Museum and Art Gallery, that would be a great addition.

Dear all
Wikimedia UK is advertising for the new post of Head of Development and
Communications, with details on our wiki here:
https://wikimedia.org.uk/wiki/Job_openings
Please do circulate this amongst your networks, as relevant.
For background, we advertised for a new Head of External Relations post
earlier this year but were unable to recruit. We were just about to
re-advertise for a slightly revised post just as the shutdown happened, and
I froze recruitment while we assessed the likely financial impact on the
organisation. Since then, we have secured additional funding from the
Wikimedia Foundation to support the development of our fundraising capacity
over the next few years, and so I have reviewed the priorities for this
role and changed the emphasis to development, with some responsibility for
communications. We are hoping to recruit for a more junior fundraiser later
this year.
Please do feel free to get in touch with any questions, particularly if you
would like to discuss the role.
All best
Lucy
