Dinner with Sue Gardner

As I've already said, Sue Gardner from the WMF is coming to London this weekend. After the London meetup (which, once again, I encourage everyone to go to), she has invited the WMUK board out for dinner to hear about and discuss the WMF's strategy plan (among other things). Several of the board can't make it, so I've decided to invite anyone planning to stand for the board at the upcoming AGM to make it up to a worthwhile number of people. So, if you are planning to stand for the board and can make it to London for free food this Sunday evening, please let me know. This will be a great way for you to get to know Sue and find out what's going to be happening with the WMF over the next five years - both things you'll find useful as a board member.

Coming up towards 1 billion edits on wikimedia projects

Hi all, We're currently over 991,000,000 edits to Wikimedia projects, so we should be reaching the billion edit milestone soon. Sue Gardner is coming to London next weekend

Sue Gardner, the Executive Director of the Wikimedia Foundation, will be attending the monthly London meetup next Sunday (the 11th). The details are all here: http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Meetup/London/32 This will be an excellent opportunity for any Wikimedians that can get to London to meet her and find out more about what happens at the WMF and to put across your views. There will also be some Wikimedia UK board members there, including myself. Please attend if you can! OKCon & Wikimedia UK AGM (possible duplication)

Hi all, I couldn't find any decent way of quickly contacting you all (although I did try twitter just now), but I have few rather important questions re: OKCon and the AGM on 24th April 2010. 1. I've looked at the ticket price and am wondering, possibly cheekily, whether there is a student discount price? 2. Do you charge for entry to the AGM (considering I'm a member of Wikimedia UK) and for the talks on the Wikimedia track? Those are my main questions, Thanks!
