Well, I started off by following the help link when you edit a new page,
which I blueified by making the page (I didn't just make up
"Help:Contents"; not that I mind really).

Hey all,
I have created http://uk.wikimedia.org/wiki/Help:Contents for the
benefit of editors inbound from WMF project, unfamiliar with the exact
nature of the WMUK wiki but keen to have a go. I'd appreciate it if more
experienced members could check it for accuracy. For now, there are only
a couple of ways of getting to it, mainly through {{welcome}}.
Thanks,

Hi all,
This is now live:
http://uk.wikimedia.org/wiki/Press_releases/
Wikimedia_Commons_5_million_files
Please spread the word! I've posted it onto the WMUK blog and
Twitter, and also sent emails to various news agencies that I have
email addresses for from the recent press coverage (BBC, Times,
Telegraph and Guardian). Additional suggestions would be more than
welcome.
Thanks,
Mike Peel
Hi all,
We're planning to do a press release to the UK press about the
upcoming milestone on Wikimedia Commons - 5 million media files. The
count is currently just over 4,998,000; the milestone will probably
be reached tomorrow. The draft press release is at:
http://uk.wikimedia.org/wiki/Press_releases/
Wikimedia_Commons_5_million_files
Comments and suggestions would be most welcome. Feel free to edit the
draft directly; it's on a wiki. It will be frozen and sent out once
the milestone's reached.
Thanks,
Mike
Since the conference hasnt had a
logo, i quickly created a working logo to be used for the time being untill a
better one is made or if this one is suitable then it can be used in the long
term if you guys wish.
The logo can be found at: http://uk.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:OKCON_logo.svg
Its not perfect yet as I havnt ensured the
positions are all aligned as they should be, but comments on the look, feel and
general thinking on the logo would be appreciated. It is loosely based on the open knowledge foundation logo.
Many Thanks
