Dear All,
Please see the following page on the UK Wiki which I've created to start a
conversation about a specific element of our donor communications - namely
a regular newsletter.
http://uk.wikimedia.org/wiki/2012_Donor_Newsletter_Review
Please make comments, give advice, express concerns on the discussion page,
and of course feel free to edit the article directly with ideas for content
etc.
I would draw particular attention to the fact I am hoping to design and
distribute a survey that will go out to donors in the coming weeks, with
the express aim of better understanding what they want in hearing from us,
and what they understand about the work of WMUK in relation to WMF and
wikipedia. I would be grateful for suggestions on questions and suitable
online survey tools - you can edit the article to add this directly.
One final things - if you want an opportunity to have a broader chat about
this beyond the discussion page, feel free to call me directly
(07803505172) or email directly.
Many thanks,
Katherine Bavage
Fundraising Organiser
PS Please not my subscription to the list is currently to a personal email
- I've asked for this to be moved to my work email for future reference

Since Wikimedia Australia have managed to secure press access and
credentials for the Paralympic Games, I've been asked if I could run a
Wikinews workshop in London shortly before the Paralympics.
I'm curious as-to what interest there would be, outwith those from "Down
Under".

Good. I've a couple of people responded off-list that they'd be
interested too.
