I can't check (I'm on my mobile), but I've just been told that QRpedia has an invalid SSL certificate.
If you try to look at https://qrpedia.org, you'll find this message:
"This server could not prove that it is qrpedia.org; its security certificate expired 41 day(s) ago."
So if the certificate has expired, it's presumably invalid.

Just to give you all an update: this is quite a laborious process that involves me faxing my passport to France before I can do a great deal. They don't accept emailed documents, unfortunately!
They are of course going off today.
