When should we expect the results to be announced? Voting closes at 23:59 on Saturday - will it be announced shortly after or next morning, or later?
Just wondering if I should to stay up late that night!

I won't be staying up late to do any counting. Lucky for me, 00:00UTC is only 8pm here so there are a few hours where I could be counting before it's my bed time. I can't guarantee that I will do it in those hours, but it's a possibility. I think realistically (and I haven't talked to the other members about this), you shouldn't be expecting them before Sunday night or Monday morning. Obviously, we'll send them out as soon as we've all counted and have an agreement about it.

I have no problem waiting a couple of days if that's the way you choose to do it, but it seems to be that you could keep a running total as the votes come in and then it would just require you all to agree on the result after the deadline. If you all happened to be online at midnight (incidentally, is it midnight UTC or midnight British Summer Time?), and by luck you all got the same answer, you could have the result out in minutes.

I'm not saying we're not going to try to get results out quickly, but things come up. I'm moving into a new apartment on Saturday, and that evening might still be busy for me (plus, I might not have internet access until the next day or even monday morning if I'm particularly unlucky). I will try my hardest, but I want to make sure people aren't staying up late into the night with unfounded hopes.

Sure, if it takes a few days it takes a few days, I'm not going to complain, I just think that it should really only take a couple of minutes if everything goes well (if you get different results, then it will take much longer and we'll just have to wait). Of course, if you lack an internet connection for a couple of days, there's not a lot that can be done. Good luck with the move!
