I just spoke to Jenny Kleeman, a freelance journalist who's considering an article on prolific British Wikipedians. (She wrote to Chris McKenna first, who pointed her to me.) I said posting to this list would probably be a good first move.
Basically, look at [[Wikipedia:List of Wikipedians by number of edits]] and pick the most prolific human editors based in Britain ... people like e.g. Charles Matthews would be ideal (as #2 human editor *and* a mathematician who's worked hard on the maths areas *and* a Wikipedia nuts'n'bolts person) if he's got the time. I see Morwen pretty high up the list too. Who else is there high up in that list who's British?
Anyone interested in participating, please email me and I'll forward you her email address.

I'm writing to you because I notice that you have made a lot of edits and have also been responsible for organising many national get-togethers in the UK. I thought you might be able to point me in the right direction as I look for four or five UK-based Wikipedians who would be happy to contribute to my article.
As for me, I'm a freelance journalist and a long-time admirer of Wikipedia. I visit the site several times a day and have made my own very minor contributions - mostly reverting vandalism. My writing is usually published in the Guardian, Time Out and the Evening Standard. I'm hoping to write this article as a feature for a Sunday newspaper, probably the Observer.
If you are happy to talk to me, it would be great to hear from you at this email address.
Many thanks
