Agreed, we should try and get Wikimania in London. It is a pretty good capital city as they go and I think we could find a place to have it with plenty of cheap accomodation nearby (what I mean is Travel Inns/Lodges and the like, which are pretty decent). Having a chapter which should be pretty well established by then helps too. Hence, I contacted a media relations officer at UCL who didn't know anything about it but I pointed her to the bit in the 2007 bid where they say they're keen. Fingers crossed :).
