Hi all,
The next Wikimedia UK AGM and annual conference will be on Saturday 16 April 2011 in Bristol - please save the date!
You can find more information (that which exists so far) at: http://uk.wikimedia.org/wiki/Annual_Conference_2011
If you're interested in coming and want a reminder closer to the time, make sure that you put your username down under 'Attendees'.
If you're able to/interested in lending a hand in the planning, or on the day, please get involved! You can add ideas directly to the page or the planning page, or on the talk pages. At some point down the line we'll need tellers, help designing and writing the Annual Report (which we hope to have printed for the conference), speakers (any volunteers or suggestions?), people to sort things out on the day, people to help advertise the conference, etc. The event will definitely happen - but how successful and interesting it will be will depend on how many people can help - i.e. it depends on you.
Thanks, Mike Peel on behalf of the Wikimedia UK board

Hmm, if we designed a few banners/buttons and things, I'm sure some people would put them on user pages and stuff, I know I would, even though I'm not a member of Wikimedia UK (although I'm a Wikimedian from the UK :P)...

Hi Lewis. It would be fantastic if someone could do that. :-) You don't need to be a member of Wikimedia UK to help with this sort of thing - but you can always join for the very low cost of just £5/year! ;-) http://tinyurl.com/JoinWMUK
Thanks, Mike
