Dear members of the Wikimedia Community,
This year for Wikimania 2021, Wikimedia UK is delighted to announce that we will be awarding scholarship grants to several individuals within our community. The aim of these grants is to help facilitate the participation in this year's conference, providing those who need it with financial and technical support so they can immerse themselves in the Wikimania experience. Participants do not need to be a member of Wikimedia UK, and we encourage all those interested to apply.
In order to be considered for a scholarship award, participants need to complete* this application, http://bit.ly/2VKbzlD* highlighting how they intend to use the grant and their main reasons for wanting to attend this year's conference.
With Wikimania fast approaching, we are kindly asking all those who wish to apply to do so soon. In addition, if you know of anyone who would greatly benefit from this grant, please share this with them so that they too can have a chance of being considered. Good luck!
Best regards,
George
Hi George, Is this open to Wikimedians in other countries, who don't have a local registered WMF affiliate to represent them and therefore need to seek funding from affiliates in other countries? --Deryck
