Hi Harry & all,
The Wikimania organisers are super-quick at replying to emails. :-) We'll be awarding
scholarships for Wikimania 2012 via the main scholarships program - so please apply there,
making sure you tick that 'yes' option at the end of the form:
http://wikimania2012.wikimedia.org/wiki/Scholarships
So that you can judge your odds of success: we'll be providing up to £5,000 worth of
scholarships for UK individuals via a mix of full- and partial-scholarships.
Thanks,
Mike

Hi Harry,
I'm working on this at the moment (my next email's going to the Wikimania
organisers). Hopefully the answer will be via the main Wikimania scholarships program, but
we don't know for sure yet. So at the moment I'd recommend applying via the main
scholarships program at:
http://wikimania2012.wikimedia.org/wiki/Scholarships
and make sure you tick 'yes' to the option to share info with chapters at the end
of the application form.
In the worst case scenario, you may have to re-apply via a WMUK process later on.
More soon...
Thanks,
Mike

What should British editors who are hoping for
financial support to attend Wikimania 2012 do to apply for it? Do we apply through the
WMF's system (which is open for the next 10 days), or is WMUK going to have its own
process?
I know July seems a long way away, but if we're to apply through the Foundation
process, we need to know before that process closes.

(sending this to the list rather than to the board directly because I doubt I'm the
only person wondering)
