Good afternoon everyone,
The American Centre of Oriental Research http://acorjordan.org/ in Amman has hired two part-time Wikimedians in Residence to work on the Open Jordanian Heritage https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Open_Jordanian_Heritage initiative. I'm working closely with them and was wondering if there's a chance to connect them with experienced WiRs in the UK.
Warm wishes to all,
Raya
How fantastic Raya!
I think most of our residents look at this mailing list regularly but just in case, I'll put you in touch by email.
Best Lucy

Hi Raya,
Really excited to hear about this initiative and would be happy to help if I can. I worked as an archaeologist in Jordan a (very) long time ago and have maintained an interest in the country and it’s history ever since.
All the best, Lorna

Happy to help as well. I am the WiR at the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland. We have just got an intern in to help run a mini-photo comp to increase the number of archaeology photos on the commons so there might be some scope to work together there, depending on what your WiR are doing.
Please feel free to put them in contact with me.
Kind regards, Doug

We'd love to invite the new Jordanian WiRs to join the Wikimedians in Residence Exchange Network, and our mailing list / monthly meetings:
