I decided I'd make this the occasion for getting more up-to-date with our publicity. I have requested a Geonotice, for one thing. And subscribed to this list, for another. I thought it wouldn't harm to see what others thought was good practice for running such a meetup, simply on the basis of letting people know who might be interested.
