Any firm thoughts on the times, etc for 27th?
The room is booked from 12 noon to 6pm, but the pub would like us to use it fully or change the booking...
I will be arriving in London at 8:40AM. Because I've somehow tricked the conference organizers into paying for upper class on virgin atlantic, I should arrive reasonably well rested.
Danny has me down for some kind of meeting with a reporter (Stephanie Marsh of The Times, so that's an important meeting) at noon, but I'm not sure if that's a fixed time or just a placeholder until we schedule it more specifically.
She may want to come to the meetup, for all I know.
The point is just that I'm available for at least most of that time period.
That's good to know - considering this we can maybe have a brainstorm/update on legal matters first (eg MoA) and then work on the formal board presentation and even wider picture later on. (?)
Do we want a reporter there though? Will Danny be there too (great, if so)? (Danny - apologies if I gave you false info on weather here today, although we all know the perennial topic here is notoriously fickle.)
Details on how to get to the pub can be found at: http://www.beerintheevening.com/pubs/s/28/2814/Royal_Oak/Borough - the function room is upstairs. Other info on, obviously: http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimedia_UK
See you all then,
Cormac

I don't think we'd be doing anything very controversial or private, just discussing some rather tedious matters I suppose. But yes, we might not want her there. And she might not want to be there, it'll presumably be quite dull for her, and if she wants to interview community members about the sorts of things that the press does find interesting, it would disrupt us from the actual work at hand.

:-) No, Danny won't be on that trip.

Danny will print that for me.

Indeed. Very dull...

I was considering the following plan.
1) Part 1 - 12 noon to 2pm - lunch, interviews, chat, beer...
2) Part 2 - 2pm to 6pm - formal session (journalists excluded?)
There may be a part 3, but recall that The Royal Oak will close at 6pm.
