Good news from Wales, forwarded from the OER-Discuss list. There was also this follow-up statement: "Higher Education Wales (the Welsh branch of UniversitesUK) have agreed to a common statement of principles which was signed by the last of the [university Vice Chancellors] yesterday. It should appear on their website shortly."

Hi all,
I’m glad to be able to announce the work we have been engaged with in Wales for the last few months.
Today Wales is able to confirm the commitment of all Welsh Higher Education institutions to the adoption of Open Educational principles to support Open Education Resources and Open Education Practice:

Now to deliver on the promise of this collaberation. Well done. Yet another example of quiet, intelligent and persistent work paying off. Brilliant and needs blogging and tweeting about. Can we celebrate it at the Education Conference? Jon
