Hello all,
With the local UK elections out of the way it's full steam ahead to the EU Referendum on June 23. Our friends at independent, nonpartisan factchecking charity Full Fact think it's important that we make this important decision based on facts rather than feelings, and to that end they are hosting an editathon https://fullfact.org/blog/2016/apr/eu-wikipedia-edit-thon/ at Newspeak House https://www.nwspk.com/ on Bethnal Green Road in East London from 10.30 to 5 PM this Saturday (14 May) to make sure all the Wikipedia pages about the EU, Referendum and related topics are as accurate as possible.
If you care about this important decision, why not come along and support the democratic process by making sure the electorate has the best, most accurate and impartial information to hand when deciding on the future of the UK.
All the best,
John Lubbock Communications Coordinator Wikimedia UK

All good. But again, I miss the lack of a Wikipedia (Meta) based sign up page. The Editathon for last Saturday's event at Senate House had a sign up on Eventbrite.

Gordo
P.S. I probably going to the event in Walthamstow on Saturday 14th.... I am torn! My Saturday morning job (you know, like a paper round) also tempers decisions as what to do, what to do.....
