I am working on a 'List of police stations in the West Midlands' article:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_police_stations_in_the_West_Midlands
and would love to see others do so for other counties in the UK.
Note the use of a template for each row; and that both current and former stations are included.
Great idea, Andy! I'm amazed nobody thought about this earlier.
A tangent, and one that probably belongs on the wiki (though I don't know where), but is it better to do these by county or by force area? Obviously for the West Mids these are the same, but in other areas the police force covers more than one county (eg Thames Valley or West Mercia). Also, what are you doing about police stations for non-territorial forces (eg British Transport Police)? Harry Mitchell

I have no strong feelings either way - I suppose it depends on the number, and how the editors making the lists feel.

I'm about to add two BTP entries to the WM county page.
Only two? I thought there were three - Coventry, Birmingham New Street, and Wolverhampton? Harry Mitchell

FWIW here is a quick Google Custom Search engine configured to match only pages that mention a http://schema.org/PoliceStation (in Microdata/RDFa syntax): https://www.google.com/cse/publicurl?cx=013484121852858951051:7izsuwnbm-w
These things take 10 seconds to make, though they're only as good as the data out there. For a microdata syntax example see http://www.wolverhampton.co.uk/listing/112143-west-midlands-police/
It might be interesting to get structured markup onto the official sites that list police stations, and perhaps from there import into Wikipedia via Wikidata?
cheers,
Dan
