Dear all
We are working with Disability Arts Online to develop better coverage of disabled artists and the disability arts movement on Wikipedia, and are looking for a trainer (or preferably trainers!) who would be prepared to deliver these sessions and are available on at least one of the following dates:
Thursday 3 December 2015 Thursday 4 February 2016 Thursday 3 March 2016
All sessions will be 11am - 4pm and are to be held at Goldsmith's University in London.
Participants are being recruited by DAO and will all be disabled writers, who are keen to develop their own research and editing skills as well to improve Wikipedia coverage of disabled artists and the disability arts movement. The idea is that it will be the same cohort of writers who attends all three sessions but of course there may be some drop off, and some additional participants at later sessions. As DAO has had a very high level of interest in the sessions from their community, we are ideally looking for two trainers for each session, but the urgent priority is to find at least one volunteer for the session in December. There will be an appropriate level of support from DAO including British Sign Language interpreters, and experts on the disability arts movement, so trainers don't need to be knowledgable about this field.
Richard Nevill is going to be working on this project so please let he and I know if you are potentially interested/available. Volunteer expenses will be covered.
Many thanks Lucy
