Hi everyone,
I'm not sure if this is an appropriate place to ask, but, I was just going to look for information about BBCs Tomorrow World presenter Howard Stableford on Wikipedia and found that it had been deleted.
The deletion remark said that he wasn't notable. The PROD was made on 26th December 2021 and the article was deleted on 3rd January 2022. I can't find an AfD discussion about the article. The deletion has left a number of red links.
Could an English Wikipedia administrator have a look to see if it was a Speedy delete, without discussion? I find it difficult to believe that the article wasn't notable. I'm on my mobile telephone at the moment and contacting the admin who deleted the page on their talk page doesn't work for me.
With kind regards
Michael West

There is no discussion, because PROD is for uncontested deletion suggestions and no-one contested it. See:

for details of the process.

PROD is differenet to speedy deltion.
I have asked the deleting admin to restore the article "so that it can be improved, or sent to AfD if anyone feels strongly enough".

Thank you. I'm sorry for my confusion about the deletion process, it's the first time I've ever come across a proposed deletion.

No need to apologise :) It's not always the easiest thing to get your head around... I found this essay, from Wikiproject:Women in Red, really helpful: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_Women_in_Red/Essays/Prim...

Thank you Sara, I think the essay tackles every possible cause for deletion. I've bookmarked it.
