Hi Gordo
I think for something like this issue, which was very much about on wiki processes/community decisions, we would always want to put forward someone from the community (i.e. not a member of the team). John and I have both spoken to the media recently about issues that feel more relevant and appropriate for the charity itself to comment on - such as my interviews around the BBC partnership, and John's on fake news.
Cheers Lucy

In several cases this was because the editor concerned didn't agree with the decision, and so could potentially defend the process but not the outcome.
A rather complex decision (to ban the Daily Mail) with a lot of history, and some un-answered questions (e.g. why are other sources not on the banned list?).
If WMUK had some warning, who would they want to put up? John Lubbock?
