Coming up with good banners is a very big part of that. It seems very likely that we'll be able to have separate banners for different countries this fundraiser, so try and come up with messages that will really appeal to UK donors. Thanks!
Yep, it does seem banners will once again be the key part of the fundraising drive.
There is some talk about other methods; I'm particularly interested in trying to use other sites (YouTube, Twitter, Facebook) to get the message out:

Once the fundraiser starts, it would be great if everyone would send at least a Tweet or FB update to spread the word. Official start date for the campaign is November 7th.
Another volunteer and I have had some feedback regarding YouTube from the WMF and they are looking into putting together some footage that was taken at the Wikimania. I hope they're referring to something other than raw footage of Wikimania talks! I shall be keeping an eye on that.
If any member of the UK chapter has video equipment and skills please consider creating a video; it could be as simple as just talking to the camera about why you have a passion for the project or as ambitious as creating an animation or taking vox pops on the street. A donation link in the accompanying text would obviously be key and ideally some kind of 'please donate' message on-screen - at least as a caption - too.
The Foundation has its own channel:

As does Wikimedia UK
http://www.youtube.com/user/WikimediaUK
Both are rather sparsely populated.
Unfortunately I have no video equipment and am, for the most part, housebound so I can really only offer encouragement and feedback as far as videos are concerned. Actually, that's a bit weak, isn't it? I'll email friends to see if I can borrow some and perhaps do a piece-to-camera in my room or something. Not sure my face will be a good selling point, though :O)
If any of you are bloggers or content creators of whatever form you may be interested in something mentioned in Signpost; a way to monetise your content online:
...if you follow-up on that and make some money, remember you heard it through the UK Chapter (hint, hint).
