Right, so who's interested in this election night editathon then? I've said I'll run it and we're a week away. Who's in?

What about Saturday 27th or Sunday 28th? Just trying to gauge interest.

I'd be interested in doing something a week or two after the election when the dust is starting to settle. By that time we should be able to evaluate the results and the new cabinet/ministerial appointments should be known and there'll be updates needed to various Wikipedia articles and probably biographies needing expansion.
I can't make the 7th. Election night would be fun, but as others have pointed out there's a risk of losing momentum before there are any significant edits needed.

Do we have anyone offering to be a trainer on this yet? We're not far away from the 7th, so if we are going to organise I need someone to volunteer for this pretty soon.

I've tweeted from the WMUK account encouraging people to take photos of candidates.

Much is down to the operator, but better cameras can take better pictures, especially in Low light conditions.
If you take David Gerard's advice and introduce yourself as from Wikipedia , any political party with an ounce of commonsense will usher you to the front and give you a position where you can take a good photo.

Why? Surely they are all open to being photographed? And why "serious gear"? Just an iPhone would do?
I rarely take any sort of portrait photograph but the candidate are out there so be seen (and heard).
