Dear all
We are currently recruiting for a new *Head of Development and
Communications* at Wikimedia UK, and would very much welcome applications
from Wikimedians with relevant skills and experience.
The details of the role are on our wiki here:
https://wikimedia.org.uk/wiki/Head_of_Development_and_Communications
The role will primarily be home based so we welcome applicants
from anywhere within the UK. Salary and other benefits are listed at the
link above. The closing date for applications is *28th February 2024.*
Huge thanks to Natasha Iles, who will be leaving us in April after three
and a half years as the inaugural postholder in this role. Natasha has been
a created and committed member of the Senior Management Team since joining
us in autumn 2020, and is working hard to ensure a smooth transition to the
successful candidate.
Best wishes
Lucy

The latest tech news says:
On February 1, a link will be added to the "Tools" menu to download a QR
code that links to the page you are viewing. There will also be a new
Special:QrCode page to create QR codes for any Wikimedia URL. This
addresses the #19 most-voted wish from the 2023 Community Wishlist Survey.
With no mention of QRpedia.
While we're on the topic, can we have an update about QRpedia, please?

Hello all,
The Community Leaders' survey has now been sent out to all those who have
volunteered for WMUK (eg as volunteer trainers), or have been lead contacts
with partner organisations over the last year. If you believe that you
should have received this but haven't, and would like to participate,
please reply to me off-list and I'll get the link sent over.
All the best,
Sara
