Hi all
Sorry if this is a bit short notice, but I'll be sending the newsletter out
next week on the 26th July. If there's anything you'd like to promote in it
please let me know. A paragraph or two is all that's required, and please
add any links or images you'd like used.
If you do have something to submit, please get it to me by the *end of day
on the 25th July* and let me know to look out for it.
Thanks
Katie

Hi all,
The National Trust are recruiting for a Wikimedian in Residence. The
details of the post are on their website:
https://careers.nationaltrust.org.uk/OA_HTML/a/?_ga=2.166519741.2044405434.…
The deadline is soon: 23 July.
They ran a pilot scheme in 2022 and early 2023, and this will build on that
work, looking to establish how the Trust can share information through the
Wikimedia projects over the long term.
Kind regards,
Richard

Dear ALL - sorry for bringing this up potentially late,
but for the sake of 2023 Wiki Loves Pride campaign
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Wiki_Loves_Pride/2023
if you wanna support local-regional content creation
and have/can access to media, info and good sources for
?LONDON and LGBTIQ+ Prides elsewhere in UK-Ireland?
Please consider adding them!
Best Z. Blace
We are trying to up the game with European content and
I just realized London Pride has no 2023 Commons category yet.
Dear all
Many thanks to those of you who attended Wikimedia UK's AGM last Saturday.
For those who weren't there, I'm pleased to report that *Sammy Tarling* was
elected to the Board of Trustees. Sammy is a long standing Wikimedian,
having served as a functionary on the English Wikipedia and globally across
the Wikimedia projects as a Steward until late 2022. Sammy has worked as a
software engineer on the Community Tech team at the Wikimedia Foundation
since early last year, and has experience as a company director.
Sammy replaces *Kelly Foster *as an elected trustee. Our thanks to Kelly
were recorded at the AGM and I would like to reiterate them here. Kelly has
served a three year term as a trustee, bringing a wealth of knowledge and
experience of the global Wikimedia movement. Whilst she is stepping down
from the board, she has agreed to remain on the Community Development
Committee as an independent member. We are very grateful to continue to
benefit from Kelly’s insights and networks in this capacity.
All the ordinary board resolutions were passed, and the minutes from the
2022 meeting were approved.
This is just a reminder that if you want to be able to vote at future AGMs,
please sign up for membership here
<https://wikimedia.org.uk/wiki/Membership>. At the recent meeting, members
voted to keep the membership fee at just £5 a year for individuals,
although we always welcome additional donations!
With best wishes
Lucy
