During the last UK Chapter AGM, it was asked why the membership
numbers had radically changed, there was no specific answer to the
question. Was any analysis done on this afterwards? When reviewing
membership it seems likely that the charity's trustees would have been
concerned at these figures so shortly before the AGM, due to the
potential risk of entryism.
Membership jumped from a total of 147 (a five year low) in May 2017,
to the all time record high the following month of 498, i.e. new
sign-ups that month more than *tripled* the total membership.
A second question - the report of membership numbers has been updated
every month for the past five years.[1] It has not been updated since
October 2017. Could anyone confirm what the most recent membership
numbers are so the report can be updated?
P.S. the links in the FAQ about the register of members are out of
date, the companylawclub link is a 404 error and the companieshouse
link advises to go to their new website.

I'm visiting Great Dorset Steam Fair on that day and can offer lifts
from Southampton or the immediate area.
Its worth visiting since they have a lot of stuff we need photos of
and since most of the vehicles are driven its possible to get shots of
them from good angles. See this category for some examples:

We are also still looking for a first class image of a Traction engine
to lead the Traction engine article:

Hi,
I'm having trouble with finding directions for an editing problem, and I
hope someone can help me out. (Not sure what terms to search under.)
The page for the band Corduroy
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corduroy_(band)
has, in the info box, internal links leading from two band members (Ben
Addison & Richard Searle) to similarly named but different individuals.
The band members themselves don't have their own pages.
What should I do? Disambiguation page? Remove code for links? Create
pages for members (probably unneccessary)?
TIA
John

Hello UK Wikimedians. This year I would like to try again to get press
passes to festivals on behalf of our community members so that you can get
a free ticket and take some photos for Commons. I am happy to officially
request passes for Wikimedia UK members, so I would like to hear from you
which festivals or other cultural events you would like to attend over the
next year where you think there would be good opportunities to fill missing
gaps in coverage. I think we would be particularly interested in sending
people to events where there would be a lot of cultural diversity of
performers and attendees, to fit into our goal of increasing the diversity
of content on Wikimedia projects.
So photographers especially, please tell me if you have ideas for places
you'd like to get a press pass for so you can go and take photos. Remember
there are also small project grants, so we may be able to pay travel
expenses for project ideas that we especially like! Get in touch and let me
know your ideas.
I am also thinking about whether we can do another session at the Byline
journalism festival this year, which is at the end of August
<https://www.bylinefestival.com/>. Last year we did a panel discussion on
how Wikipedia works. They also gave us free passes for community members.
If you would be interested in coming to this and have ideas about how we
could include the community in a session, please also let me know.
