[Wikimedia-GH] We need a press release for WLM.

Hi guys, I've heard about the talk for getting WLM mentioned in the press. There is a newspaper called the PACE which is interested in such topics. The paper itself is one biased towards public and civic education. I will talk to the editor. But first @Oral needs to write a press release. I think we can also use the help of many Ghanaian bloggers since this is an online project. I know many colleague bloggers who will be willing to cover the contest. Social media users can also be useful is spreading the word. @Oral do you have the time to write a release asap? Also attach instructions as to how to send it, procedures and all. Thanks. This subject has been brought up in a discussion last month, and Nuno Tavares was kind enough to share a tool that the Portuguese organisers (ie. I'd like to use this thread to collect some ideas about the tools you use, and the ones that we still might create in the coming month. I know that there were several tools people used last year, from the automated ones (like Nuno's), through those semi-automated (like the QInominator gadget somebody suggested to me recently), to those rather manual (like the shell script we used in Poland last year). So, are there some specific tools you used last year, or plan to use this time? Hello. I've made some edits to the Ghana cultural material heritage page on Wikipedia just in preparation to be transferred into the WLM db. @rupert @abartov @elya, kindly inspect the page to see what is falling short. Anything left more? I added much dates of monuments, forts and musuems i could find online. For others, I couldn't find for. Kindly let us know of what should be added to or taken from the list. @RoySST The idea of ID is very important. And as such, as recommended by San, we've prepared an ID template to use for the period of WLM. The template is with Sandister. So when she analyses it, and recommends its out, we'll take it from there, and you'll get your copy. There are two options to receiving them. I can print it at my end here, and email them to you. Or i will send you the digital image of it, and you'll print. However, if you're to print at your end, then there should be some specifications that the ID should meet in terms of dimensions and quality not to create the kind of varying. I left this message on the discussion page.....Hi all,in preparation towards the wiki loves monument contest,i visited ussher fort,james fort and the light house in james town to get firsthand experience on participation.The guards at these sites demanded accreditation and or ID to prove the photos are for the WLM project.I think we should look into that and give participants IDs.
