The people who volunteered to blog about the project haven't delivered. I am writing the article myself. Rex kindly add the Akan version:http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimedia_Blog/Drafts/Wikipedia_for_… and find out how to add your byline to mine. I will take it to Matthew at the end of today.
Also, is there a way to tell the total number of edits to a particular article? I'd like a more effective way to look at the progress/ edits of articles in the project so far.

Dear Wikimaniacs,
There is some discussion on the mailing list about visa to Hong Kong for
Wikimania 2013.
List of visa-free / visa-required countries are available on
[[wm2013:Visas]] [1] and its source [2].
Please check them out and determine whether you are visa-free to Hong Kong
or not.
The processing time for a Hong Kong traveling visa are usually finalized
within four weeks [3].
If you are confirmed to attend WIkimania and required a visa to Hong Kong,
please send us an email with your name and nationality to
wikimania(a)wikimedia.hk .
This will help us to have a better sense for the visa problem.

The meta wiki page in question is http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimedia_Ghana. It was one of the social media tools we used. I wasn't referring to the one Rupert built. Every now and then I don't know if you remember we used to talk about the competition there and link people to the WLM Ghana website itself.
The WLM website is not a meta wiki if I clearly remember, it is a page on commons http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Wiki_Loves_Monuments_2012_in_Ghana
I don't remember writing that we built the http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Wiki_Loves_Monuments_2012_in_Ghana on commons.
The only error here is not mentioning Rupert because I didn't look beneath this page. http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Wiki_Loves_Monuments_2012_in_Ghan… to see the thanksgiving.Mind you that's where I looked to compose the post.
Lastly the post is not by PWMGH. Blog posts are from individuals. Don't get it twisted. If I get anything wrong in a blog post on the WMF blog, it's on my head not PWMGH. That is why the post has my name underneath. Whichever perspective a blog post has to offer, it is always credited to the authors/ author.
The way forward now is contact Matthew and see if we can edit the post and add Rupert and the Akan version. So the post will now be by Rexford and Sandister. Still that would be by us as PWMGH. I hope you get the explanation. If it is not possible, you should write a new post. Get a blog account. I suggest Wiki Loves Monuments 2012: How Ghana prepared it's first participation. Highlight what it took to be part, our challenges, our success and so on. It will make a good blog post and that can mention Rupert. I agree he needs to be duly acknowledged as you said. I missed that.
In conclusion, Matthew and Lianna go through what I write not anyone else. What I can do beforehand all posts now is to rather contact you as the coordinator, or any other member and interview them as a source for articles I write concerning the group. It's journalism nothing personal. However my editors remain Matthew and Lianna.

"which is working to organize a local Wikimedia chapter in the country — took to its social networking platforms and created a meta-wiki page to call for Ghanaian participation."
The above statement is simply wrong simply because its not Ghanaian who created the WLM page. Rupert created it (a member of the Wikimedia Swiss). He prepared the Monument list on Wikipedia, from start to finish, added the latitudes and longitudes, basically did all the work. The only contributor by then, was myself, who only had to watch and learn from Rupert's outworkings
Sandister, if i'm Rupert, I help you guys out this much, and you take all the credits, do you think I'll be willing to help you out some other time? Rupert spent 6hours+ in all of his precious time just to make things happen.
If you could not spare at least a sentence in this article to honor our sole, basic, primary and initial initiator and contributor when else can we do that?
Seriously, i'm just not happy about it. That means, the article was written by one PWMGH, reviewed by one PWMGH and submitted by one PWMGH. Will I do that?
I just don't get it.

You should have stated that you wanted to add Twi version. All looking through of Wikimedia blog posts are done by the editorial team you connected me to when I joined -- LiAnna and Matthews. Not me or you. My first post was done for me. This is my second one, I don't know how adding Akan versions work. Whether before Matthew sees it or after ... the best thing is anyone who wants in on an article should get a WMF blog user account so we can all access the dashboard and a common post before it goes out.
I will forward you an email. Contact Matthew or LiAnna and add the twi version.

Hello
for months, I've been looking at the editing trend from Ghana for a while
now. One thing I noticed is that, the willingness of Ghanaians to
contribute to Wikipedia and other sister projects is what is lacking. The
means is there. Many spend several hours daily sharing and commenting and
talking on social media platforms like Facebook. Thus, internet
connectivity and time constraints isn't the hindrance.
Maybe, another excuse that might sound plausible might be the fact that,
many don't know they can contribute to Wikipedia or the others. Fine! If
that's the case, how do we tackle that in our own niche? Where does it
start from? Is social media not enough to tell our people they can
contribute to Wiki? Well, maybe patience is important. But statistically
and mathematically, if I am to project the contributions coming from Ghana
currently, I don't see an increase of 10% in the next 5 to 10 years.
Are we doing something wrong? If no, then what aren't we doing very well?
We kinda have many enlisted on our meta page, but practically, the edits
aren't flowing. Many articles about Ghana are started and expanded by
non-Ghanaians.
For me, I see reluctance, feeling of less necessity to contribute and no
want-to-help-others feeling but want-to-learn-from-others attitude. What's
the breakthrough?
thanks

Hello
Do you think exhibiting the 12 best photos of WLM 2012 in Ghana will be
worth it? Will we have the needed partners to support?

Subject: [Wiki Loves Monuments] The travelling WLM photo exhibition needs
YOU!
To: Wiki Loves Monuments Photograph Competition <

Hi there,
I am happy to announce that we are now able to organise a travelling
photo exhibition consisting of the 12 winning Wiki Loves Monuments
2013 pictures, as chosen by the international jury (which, by the way,
should be announced soon!).
We intend to have the exhibition visit about 6-10 places around the
world from December 2012 until around August-September 2013, with
almost all the costs being covered from the international budget.
As I've been sending a lot of e-mails to this list in the past few
days, I'll make this long story short :-) Please read all the details
at <
https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Wiki_Loves_Monuments_2012/Exhibi…
>,
write down your names in the table at the bottom of the page, and do
not hesitate to ask questions if you'll have them :-))
The contact person from the team is Barbara who has all the details,
but the rest of the team can also help you with more general
questions.
Thanks,

For the first time this year, Ghana participated in the WLM.
I've seen blogs from other countries about their participation in this
year's event and photos submitted.
Can we write one for Ghana? Will that be necessary?

Hi.
Does anyone know of a Wikipedia template that can help us gather important dates concerning Ghana? Like historical anniversaries? There are examples of such dates here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/November_12

Subject: [Wiki Loves Monuments] Organisers' survey
To: Wiki Loves Monuments Photograph Competition <
wikilovesmonuments(a)lists.wikimedia.org>
Hi there,
with the participants' survey slowly reaching its end, I would like
you to spend a little of your time on filling yet another
questionnaire that I hope will come useful for the evaluation of this
year's contest and will help us to make Wiki Loves Monuments 2013 even
better than it is now.
Just like last year, we have prepared around 20 questions for you to
answer, which -- as our beta-testers report :-) -- should take about
15 minutes at maximum to go through. Unlike the participants' survey,
due to its smaller scope (in terms of surveyees), this one is based on
a Google Form, but I hope you'll be OK with it :-))
When it comes to privacy, we will of course share the results of the
survey with anyone wishing to have a look at it after analyzing and
anonymizing the results -- so if you have any feedback that you'd like
to stay private for whatever reasons, please feel free to fill out the
survey without specyfing your name(s).
The survey is available at
<
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/viewform?formkey=dGMtRG5TNVdWck16X3dlTG…
>.
I intend to close it in two weeks from now, that is in the early UTC
morning of Saturday, November 17; I hope you'll have enough time to
fill it during that period.
Thanks in advance for your time and your feedback; as always, feel
free to ask any questions that will come to your mind, and do not
hesitate to give long answers in the survey -- the more information we
have, the better :-)
