I am now working on Wikipedia, and today I'm handling the letter E.
Before I go into proper requests, I should mention that I took the liberty to reject https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Requests_for_new_languages/Wikipedia_Eldeine , which appeared to be a one-person constructed language without an ISO code.

Splitting it to a separate thread, because I find it all horribly confusing.
People who understand Germanic languages—what do you think about this one?
I don't have a strong opinion myself.
Formally, it's probably eligible. The incubator activity is OK, and Ethnologue says that it's not identical to stq or nds. More precisely, here's the copy from Ethnologue for people who don't have access to the fuller version: "Not intelligible of Frisian [fry] of the Netherlands or Northern Frisian [frr] (1978 E. Matteson) or Saterfriesisch [stq] (2001 W. Smidt). Lexical similarity: 70% with Low Saxon [nds], 60%–70% with Dutch [nld], 20%–30% with Standard German [deu] (2015 A. Remmers)."
However, we have a lot of editions of Wikipedia in various minor Germanic varieties, some of which are active, and some aren't, so I am reluctant about marking this as eligible without input from other people who are more familiar with the subject. In particular, does anyone else actually write it, or is the Incubator the only place where people seriously try it?
There is a bit of info about this in the English Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/East_Frisian_Low_Saxon#Orthography . However, that section has only one direct external reference, and it has some self-references. The rest of the article has more references, which may shed more light on it, but they are in German, and my German reading skills are too weak to make a relevant decision. Luckily, we have a few people in the committee who know German well. Your help will be appreciated!

As far as I can tell, nds-wp already accepts articles in EFLS [frs] but expects them to be in the Sass orthography, while the Incubator project is written in the Weigelt orthography. This means we have the possibility of two competing Wikipedias for a language with a very small editor base. Sort of like a small-scale Belarusian without the political enmity.

Unfortunately nds-wp does not have templates or categories identifying which dialect of Low German an article is written in. The current version of the article on East Frisia [nds:Oostfreesland https://nds.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oostfreesland] was written primarily by a user [nds:Bruker:Termo https://nds.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bruker:Termo] whose userpage identifies him as coming from East Frisia, but I can't tell whether he wrote it in EFLS or not, because the Sass orthography intentionally minimizes (but does not eliminate) dialectal differences. (I do notice he uses the general Low Saxon word /nedder/ for "low" rather than the EFLS word /leeg/, which is certainly more than a mere orthographic difference.)
The oldest version of that page was written in the Weigelt orthography, which uses a lot of diacritic marks unfamiliar to Germans and is very difficult for speakers of other dialects to read. To judge by comments on the talk page, even East Frisians find the Weigelt orthography difficult to read if they haven't learned it, which is why Termo rewrote it in Sass. But I'm unable to judge whether the language of the article is still distinctively East Frisian or a more dialect-neutral version of Low German.
At any rate, it appears that some East Frisian speakers like the Weigelt orthography precisely because it is uniquely East Frisian, which is why they started their own Incubator project, since Weigelt is undesirable at nds-wp. I'm therefore inclined to consider frs eligible, because otherwise the users who do prefer Weigelt will have nowhere to go.
