Hi, folks.
I'm drawing your attention to this request: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Requests_for_new_languages/Wikipedia_Goan_Ko...
It seems to me it is a matter for this committee and for the existing community of Devanagari Konkani (apparently partially overlapping with the Latin Konkani contributor base!) to determine. I.e. whether Latin articles should live in gom.wikipedia.org alongside Devanagari or not, and if not, whether a separate Latin Konkani Wikipedia is warranted, or whether a script-transliteration gadget like the Serbian one is possible.

Ehm. If I recall correctly the questions I sent to this list before the approval, these questions were already discussed at length, with the conclusion that a gom-deva wiki at gom.wp.org should be approved, and that script conversion is not possible. Right, conversion does not seem a compelling solution. There still remains the question of what to do with the (non-zero) energy apparent behind Latin Konkani as well.

Hoi, For Konkani we know that a language organisation is willing to work hard on content, localisation etc. I asked at the time to waive the restriction on their word. The possible sanction to remove all the content in a set period of time to have all requirements implemented was not enough for some.
Consequently we deadlocked. Nothing happened as a result. Thanks. GerardM

Please reformulate. I understood nothing. Am 24.06.2015 17:40 schrieb "Gerard Meijssen" gerard.meijssen@gmail.com:
