Indeed. Generally all we do is introduce ourselves and then things devolve
into chatter amongst one another. I'm all for adding a tiny bit of
structure (by that I mean preplan some topics to talk about). If there is a
short presentation, cool. Maybe talk about the next meetup and any other
events going on in the Bay that might be of interest.
If anyone else has anything they'd like to suggest talking about. Lets hear
it!

A related question, since I haven't actually been to a previous
Wikimedia meetup: are there presenters/talks/structured discussion, or
is it unstructured? If structured, would people be interested in
hearing about how Freebase uses Wikipedia? I know some of our guys
have given talks about that before and might be interested in
repeating them.
They've generally been very unstructured, but it might be nice to have
at least a little structure. :)
A presentation to kick things off would I think be welcome.
