Hi SF Wikimedia folks,
Would you be interested in having a joint unconference with your northern
neighbors via video to celebrate Wikipedia Day weekend? We could have the
event on Saturday, January 16th or Sunday, January 17th.
This would be a nice opportunity for lightning talks as well as discussions
about software, Labs, GLAM, education, public policy, community health, and
everything else under the sun.
Please let me know if you're interested.

Hi California, Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia (and possibly
elsewhere in the US for those interested):
Please indicate your preferences regarding the scheduling of a one day (or
partial day) celebration and mini-conference for Wikipedia's 15th birthday
in January 2016. The current plan is to have the event in multiple physical
locations via Google Hangouts.
Possible meetup locations (still to be determined) for concurrent online
participation:
* WMF office in San Francisco, CA
* Oregon Health and Science University, Portland, OR
* University of Washington, Seattle, WA
* Other sites in the United States and Canada TBD. Possible locations
include Colorado, Idaho, and British Columbia.
* New York and Washington DC may have their own event(s) which they
partially sync with us
Please participate here: http://doodle.com/poll/4zhyiksqebx7uxqr. The times
shown are PST by default.
Thanks!
