Hello
I'm new comer to the list and never been to SF
so you may wonder why I am here
I'll be in Bay Area in August on my way to Argentina.
I will spent two weekends in San Francisco,
so I wonder if I can meet you guys in Bay Areas on one night of the
weekends,
either *15, 16 or 22, 23* of August.
(*Personally Prefer 22nd* [?])
So I started a page on Wikipedia
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Meetup/San_Francisco_10
and of course I have no idea where should we meet at all,
So I wonder if you're willing to give a help on this!
lOOking forward to your reply soon!

Hi everybody,
I'm leading the Wikimedia Strategic Planning initiative, which we
launched earlier this month:
http://strategy.wikimedia.org/
One of our big goals is to engage as many folks as possible. There
will be a bunch of global initiatives, and since I'm here in SF, I
also plan on doing some local things as well.
I'm planning a small, all-day gathering for our project team on
Wednesday in SF, and would love to have a few of you join us. If
you're available, drop me an email. If you're not, but you'd like to
get more actively involved in general, or if you simply want to hear
more about the process, let me know.
Thanks!
=Eugene

Hi!
Those Wikimedians who are also Linux fans may be interested to attend
Linux 18th Anniversary Picnic which will be held on Saturday, August
15 at Sunnyvale Baylands Park, California.
More details are available on http://www.linuxpicnic.org
Eugene.
Thomas,
I hope you don't mind, that I'm copying your email to the San Francisco
list. I'm heading to New York this weekend but will be back; and then I'm
gone August 11. I know that Jerry Yu-yu Chan is also going to be here, but
it looks like he's getting here right after you leave. I hope we can
arrange something!
You should try to visit the office at some point, too. I hope you will
email me directly to schedule a time for that.

Sheila Purcell is teaching a Dispute System Design class this fall at Hasting College of the Law and was hoping to have a guest speaker discuss what the structure and process is for resolving such disputes at Wikipedia.
If anyone is interested or knows someone that could help out please contact Sheila.
peace,
michael
