No wonder they were pushing for us to go usergroup. It would increase our chances I presume.

I don't know if that overrides their chapter ship requirements. I've not checked though if its been updated accordingly.

A user group is a group of users working on wikimedia related stuff, exactly what you are doing for nearly 2 years now.

In that case I'd say we already automatically qualify to be a user group, however, how does that translate into becoming a recognized chapter?
Are there things we haven't already done to make us a chapter, and if so what are they so we work on doing them since the ultimate objective is to become a chapter in Ghana.

For sure it is critical that sandi and rex need some replacement on ground, and what was started continoues. Imo somebody filing a grant request similar to last years, and everybody continue to contribute a little. You as well oral, ideally ;)

I am always happy to contribute on the PR level and to Proofread stuff on the wikis but I will not promise to actually devote to creating and inputting materials on Wikipedia.
The youthful group in Ghana has done a splendid work thus far and I agree there's the need for a 2nd generation team to replace the Oral-Sandister-Rexford squad and that team must come from Ghana.
I believe Enoch is so full of gusto and enthusiasm and in a pole position to lead a second generation of Wikipedians from Ghana. We just need to come face to face with finding ways to increase motivation as that is a major bolster for most volunteering ventures.
The future looks bright, we must work harder to keep up the efforts from these past years and do better too at improving on them. I'll be watching this space with excitement and hope too for now.
Best regards,

I've been away for too long.
Rupert meaning user groups still have the right to request for grants. I've read the Signpost. Seen you've been mentioned :).
