very one rooting for me to attend the conference which was later on agreed
by the rest.

Hi PEG Program Leaders,
As you may have heard already, our Learning and Evaluation team is working
across grantmaking to plan a set of pre-conference workshop opportunities
for the Wikimedia Conference [1] to develop movement leader skills for
programs evaluation and design. The pre-conference plan is to dedicate half
a day to introduction topics on Wednesday (May 13) and offer applied
workshops on your selected toolkit topics during open Thursday (May 14).
If you are planning to attend Wikimedia Conference 2015, we need your input!
We want to know which workshops and session offerings you most desire, and
who, among conference attendees, is interested in participating in the
pre-conference workshops.
In order to help us design the best agenda for these days, please fill out
our brief survey to share your ‘’’availability’’’ to participate and
‘’’which topics’’’ are of most interest.
Importantly, the Wikimedia Foundation is able to cover the additional cost
of the 1 or 2 extra nights stay for up to 30 participants to join us. Please

Good Afternoon Guys,
I wish to inform you that am looking at representing the community here in
Ghana at the Wikimedia Conference 2015 in Berlin.
I received the mail below from Alex Wang concerning the conference and a
pre-conference they wish to host for PEG Program Leaders. I have filled the
form and wish to inform you all that i will be glad to represent you all at
the conference in my capacity as the community manager and in my bid to
seek the wellness of this community.
I have been working hard to get this community up to standing and vibrant.
One of the selection criteria i noticed was events organised and recent
activity level which we currently are in check.
I am enthused about the event and pretty sure it will be an avenue to
discuss and suggest ways to shape this community. Let me know what you all

That's great to hear. I fully dey your back. The last time I checked, I
couldn't find any application for scholarship open or so, unless they're
doing it by handpicking.
Sadat got in touch with me suggesting we draw the organizer's attention to
the fact that there's an official user group in ghana and that we should be
represented.
Thanks for bringing this up. Update us on how it goes. Can't wait to have a
Ghanaian rep at the conference.

Ok so @Felix thank you for sharing! Also I went to town to deliver your
notebook to the girl but she wasn't in town that day. But you'll get it.
@Group How can we plan our activities so we don't miss important news like
this? And how can we write to various chapters and let them know that there
is an official group here?
Secondly, up to two people can attend. It makes absolute sense for one of
the co founders to go too. So I am suggesting that @Rex you join if it
won't affect your work. I would have, but I have to attend my graduation
plus targeting Wikimania and that will be too many days of work lost, I
doubt my boss will be tolerant.

Since its a one-slot opportunity, I think Felix deserves better to be there
as he's been a keen lead in the most recent project here in ghana.
All I can ask from him is that, as he departs the soil of Ghana he gives me
