Hi all Whatever would be the language in which you translate, try to keep the indication of the way you make the "download" action. Translations of 3GPP for mobiles phones are good:-> you download from the server to the equipment. -> you upload from the equipment to the server.
You will then find the correct term to use when translating the generic term 'load'.
Thanks. Christian /Fr.

To everyone in Mediawiki i18n group: I've found that the translation of download of Mediawiki in Hokkien (Min Nan) is transcribed from English phonetically as "táuⁿ-ló͘" (see the link:https://translatewiki.net/w/i.php?title=Special%3ASearchTranslations&que...). However, few people use that word. Many people in Taiwan speak it as "táng-ló͘" or use the calque "hā-chài" (下載) (ref. https://itaigi.tw/k/%E4%B8%8B%E8%BC%89). Therefore, I suggested that the word "táuⁿ-ló͘" should be replaced with "táng-ló͘" or "hā-chài". _______________________________________________ Mediawiki-i18n mailing list Mediawiki-i18n@lists.wikimedia.org https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/mediawiki-i18n
